All-angle coverage: College Football MegaCast returns for Ohio State-Indiana Aug. 31

ESPN will kick off the 2017 college football season with its MegaCast production for Ohio State at Indiana on Thursday, Aug. 31 (8 p.m. ET), the first time it has been activated for a regular season game. The multi-network lineup will feature the traditional telecast on ESPN and six alternate offerings for fans on ESPNU, ESPNEWS and ESPN3.

“Opening night offered a special opportunity to start the season in a robust way,” senior coordinating producer Lee Fitting told Sports Illustrated. “Ohio State comes into the season highly touted once again and will be immediately tested with a conference road matchup. The magnitude of the game, combined with limited viewing competition, availability of our other linear networks, and staffers and commentators that are not tied up with other events or game responsibilities resulted in the perfect scenario.”

Full lineup of offerings

ESPN: Traditional telecast with Kirk Herbstreit, David Flemming and Laura Rutledge
