SBJ hails ESPN as Best In Digital Media; Eisner honored for lifetime achievement

ESPN won Best in Digital Media laurels at the 11th annual Sports Business Awards in Manhattan on Wednesday night. ESPN President and co-chair, Disney Media Networks, Jimmy Pitaro, accepted the award, sponsored by the Sports Business Journal.

Pitaro told the Marriott Marquis Hotel audience of his great admiration and appreciation for ESPN’s digital media leadership, innovation, imagination, and quality. Pitaro joined ESPN in March after serving eight years as a top Disney executive and before that the head of media at Yahoo.
