Article explores the many ways ESPN encourages youth sports participation

In an article published April 21 on Forbes.com, author Bruce Y. Lee – the Executive Director of the Global Obesity Prevention Center – writes: “. . . ESPN has firsthand knowledge of what is needed to increase sports participation and the many benefits that such participation may have. Kevin Martinez, Vice President, ESPN Corporate Citizenship, said in the 2018 Corporate Citizenship Report that, “We believe that sports plays an enormous role in helping youth and adults reach their fullest human potential both on and off the field.’ That report laid out four problems that are hindering youth sports participation and the ways that ESPN is trying to tackle these problems.” Read more about it on Forbes.com.
