Senior editor Darin Kwilinski answers that question and many more as the ESPN Collegiate Esports Championship unfolds this weekend in Houston.

HOUSTON – In the video above, senior editor, ESPN Esports, Darin Kwilinski provides a look at the growth of Esports as the first-ever ESPN Collegiate Esports Championship (CEC) unfolds starting today.

Twenty-two qualifying teams from 20 schools are participating in the event being held at Comicpalooza. Esports expert commentators Alex “Goldenboy” Mendez, Alex Corea and Anna Prosser will provide coverage. Mendez and Corea talk about their commentary approaches here.
