Ruff Life: Packer and Durham’s Dogs Steal Scenes On ACC Network

Go inside the minds of Chester and Fuller during their canine capers on the daily morning show

Packer and Durham, ACC Network’s (ACCN) daily morning show, hosted by Mark Packer and Wes Durham, might not be even 100 shows old.

But the real stars of the show have quietly – or not so quietly – emerged.

Chester and Fuller.

Chester, known to be the brains behind the operation, is a 11-year old Cockapoo, while his brother Fuller, a five-year-old lab rescue, is a ball-playing athlete. The duo joins the show each morning from their basement in Charlotte, N.C.

It was important for Packer to incorporate his dogs as part of the show and to have it be as authentic as all of the various artifacts included in the studio décor from each of the ACC’s 15 institutions.

From time to time, they even have the opportunity to interact with several of their four-legged friends from around the ACC and ESPN.

“There’s no doubt that man’s best friend is described in Chester and Fuller,” Packer said.

In the video above, enjoy a day in the life of ACCN’s favorite dogs.

Packer and Durham airs every weekday morning from 7-10 a.m., live on ACCN, and is simulcast on Sirius XM ACC Radio channel 371. The show is produced and remotely managed out of ESPN’s Bristol, Conn., headquarters.

Jon McLeod and Amy Ufnowski produced the video.
