EDITOR’S NOTE: Steve Levy’s three-week MLB, NBA playoff and NHL Stanley Cup sojourn intensified May 21 in the Bay Area where that afternoon he previewed the Madison Bumgarner-Clayton Kershaw/Giants-Dodgers matchup, then wrapped up the Houston Rockets-Golden State Warriors playoff contest hosting the post-game SportsCenter.

Steve Levy’s boss must have told him to “Go West (again) young man,” because the SportsCenter anchor reacted with another well-worn phrase upon returning to the Bay Area on Wednesday.

“Plains, trains, automobiles, and this,” Levy said of photographing yet another mode of transportation he’d employ during his odyssey – a Powell-Hyde line trolley car in San Francisco where he began his adventure last week (see note above). The trolley came in handy for just his San Francisco visit; he’ll anchor tonight’s post-Rockets-Warriors SportsCenter on ESPN with Neil Everett from Oakland’s Oracle Arena.

Levy’s barely had a chance to catch 40 winks this week, which began Sunday with him anchoring a Bristol-based SportsCenter – including his “Levy Lounge” segment with NHL analyst Barry Melrose (pictured above).

Front Row will provide updates from a not-lounging Levy regularly during the next weeks.
