ESPN Salutes Hispanic Heritage Month

The celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month sparked an employee conference today that brought focus to the growing Hispanic market and how ESPN can better serve it.  2010 Census data has led ESPN to intensify our efforts to serve the growing number of Hispanic sports fans and our Latino/Hispanic Employee Network put together a five-hour agenda  that informed and inspired.

Discussion topics ranged from a detailed look at the market and how ESPN is currently serving Hispanic fans to Reporter Pedro Gomez and ABC Primetime co-anchor John Quinones sharing personal anecdotes on feedback they have received as role models in the community.

Conference co-leader Santa Brito wrapped the day up: “This was a starting point to further engage our employees on the potential that exists in different segments of the Hispanic market.”
