Thursday is the second day of SportsCenter’s expansive coverage of UFC 194 from Las Vegas, headlined by the featherweight title fight between Jose Aldo and Conor McGregor.

Leading the network’s coverage from Sin City is SportsCenter anchor Jonathan Coachman, who is joined by analysts Chael Sonnen and Gilbert Melendez. The SC presence further punctuates the commitment to meaningful coverage of the sport and specifically UFC.

“I want everyone who watches our coverage to know how big of an event this is,” Coachman said in the above 10-minute podcast (please forgive audio issues). “This is one of the weeks [that reminds me] of the reason I got into this business.”

Coachman also discusses the appeal of Irishman McGregor (and his countrymen who are populating Vegas); the insight and expertise of Sonnen and Melendez; and, of course, a bit on Coachman’s passion for, and coverage of, the WWE.
