Few broadcasters resonate with college football fans the way ESPN’s Lee Corso does and the Associated Press’s Ralph D. Russo captured that connection – and Corso’s bond with his College GameDay teammates – in a compelling piece published yesterday. (Russo also did a terrific podcast with Corso, which can be found below.)
Predictably, the story is being shared far and wide, and the Corso connection has been evident on social media. Front Row offers a sampling of that outpouring affection for Corso, who will be with the College GameDay crew Bloomington, Ind., tomorrow night (6– 8 p.m. ET), prior to the season-opening Big Ten showdown between Ohio State and Indiana. On Saturday, College GameDay will be live in Atlanta, as it bookends the season from the brand new Mercedes Benz Stadium.
