Next week, Laura Rutledge will add SportsCenter anchor to her list of career accomplishments, and her co-worker Paul Finebaum thought she might want some advice.
Rutledge, host of SEC Nation on SEC Network and ESPN college sports reporter, will co-anchor SportsCenter Coast to Coast with David Lloyd (noon ET, ESPN) Monday through Thursday while regular anchor Cari Champion is away on assignment.
It’ll be the first time that Rutledge, who joined ESPN in 2014, has worked out of ESPN’s main studios in Bristol, Conn. All of her previous appearances have been on the road or from the SEC Network studios in Charlotte, N.C.
In the video above, Rutledge gets tips on hosting SportsCenter and navigating the ESPN campus from Finebaum, Rutledge’s SEC Nation teammate, the host of The Paul Finebaum Show and a veteran of many trips to Bristol.
