Behind The Scenes

Alls Wells in Indy for ESPN’s Colts Reporter

Indianapolis Colts reporter Mike Wells is one of more than two dozen ESPN NFL reporters and insiders covering the NFL Scouting Combine in Indy this week.

Now in his sixth season as part of ESPN’s NFL Nation team, Wells welcomes the “home game” that brings the combine to his city annually. In the past few weeks, he has been busy covering the Colts’ coaching change, the health of Andrew Luck’s shoulder and several other offseason moves by the club.

In the video above, Wells shares his thoughts on this year’s Combine and tells Front Row which NFL Draft prospects he hopes to speak with in Indianapolis.

Editor’s Note: In addition to Wells’ coverage of the NFL Scouting Combine, this Friday he will examine the challenges that Frank Reich, Jon Gruden, Dirk Koetter, Sean Payton and Kyle Shanahan face in being both play-caller and head coach for their respective NFL teams. On Saturday, Wells will co-host ESPN Radio’s Dickerson and Hood at 11:30 p.m. ET.
