Colleagues Turned Rivals: Cora, Boone Flashback On ESPN

Before the Red Sox and Yankees square off on Sunday Night Baseball, remember the opposing managers as Baseball Tonight pals

ESPN will televise the season’s most-anticipated edition of Sunday Night Baseball (8 p.m. ET, ESPN) on July 1 as the first-place Boston Red Sox visit the second-place New York Yankees at Yankee Stadium. New York skipper Aaron Boone, who is certainly no stranger to the Yankees-Red Sox storied rivalry, will square off with his former ESPN colleague and fellow analyst Alex Cora, who now manages the rival Red Sox.

Despite both working as ESPN analysts for several years, Boone and Cora only appeared on air together a few times. Before the two analysts-turned-managers butt heads in the Bronx, check out this rare clip of them together on Baseball Tonight from April 3, 2013 with Karl Ravech.
