TikTok Engagement Soars to New Heights at X Games Aspen 2021

X Games' TikTok page quadruples the number of followers

X Games Aspen 2021, held Jan. 29-31, delivered more than 105 million video views across its Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat and its newest platform, TikTok.

Across the three days of the event, TikTok live streamed five of X Games Aspen’s nonlinear broadcasts, which resulted in 2.1 million live views. In addition, TikTok placed the #XGamesMode banner on the discover page which resulted in growth of 407 million views, and a total currently surpassing one billion views.

“X Games really leaned into elements that resonate with the TikTok community, from adopting a playful tone in their video captions to utilizing the viral #XGamesMode hashtag, which already had hundreds of millions of organic views,” said Jenna McNaney, Lead, Sports & Gaming Partnerships, TikTok. “By combining these elements with compelling, livestreamed content, they generated incredible results and quadrupled their follower count on the platform.”

In addition to content in the app itself, X Games was also able to incorporate TikTok videos shot on iPhone in its telecast.

TikTok live streamed five of X Games Aspen’s nonlinear broadcasts, which resulted in 2.1M LIVE VIEWS. In addition, TikTok placed the #XGamesMode banner on the discover page which resulted in growth of 407M VIEWS, and a total currently surpassing 1B VIEWS.
