Week in review

Like these KIA X Games Asia competitors, we’re ready to soar into the weekend.

We hope you enjoyed ESPN Front Row this week.

We got you a sneak peek at a future episode of The Oprah Winfrey Show, as contest winner Ron Brown visited Bristol to fulfill his wish to report for SportsCenter. We’ll have more about his adventure here next week.

We asked the new editor of espnW about the enhanced website.

We followed SportsNation through the day for the announcement of the winner of the EA Sports Madden 12 cover voting.

This weekend, take a look at the NFL draft on ESPN through some archival photos we unearthed, and two of Josh Elliott’s ESPN colleagues wish him well with his new role on ABC’s Good Morning America.

Next week, we’ll look at what it takes to coordinate coverage of the NFL draft, visit with Michael Wilbon, and preview the Shane Mosley-Manny Pacquiao bout.

Front Row also will bring you more shots from KIA X Games Asia in Shanghai, China. Our staff’s own Danny Chi, Associate Director Of Communications, is supplying the great photos like the one above this post.

That’s seven-time X Games skateboard gold medalist Pierre-Luc Gagnon a k a PLG (right) and eight-time gold medalist Andy Macdonald dropping in on the mini-MegaRamp during practice at KIC Jiangwan Sports Center.

You can watch the games on ESPN3.com from 1-3 a.m. ET on Saturday, Sunday and Monday.

If you woke up early for the royal wedding, you can perk up for the Kia X Games Asia.

This weekend marks the first-month anniversary of ESPN Front Row’s existence.

There are lots of people — some with bylines, some without — who have done a great job getting the site up and running. Thanks for your patience and support.

Thank you for visiting, Tweeting, Facebooking (?) and otherwise spreading the word.
