Beginning June 4, ESPN First Take officially will reveal a new look.

Stephen A. Smith

Stephen A. Smith joins the two-hour weekday ESPN2 morning program fulltime, five days a week. He and Skip Bayless are the show’s featured commentators, and Jay Crawford will moderate the proceedings.

In the first hour, the spotlight will be on Smith and Bayless’ takes on the day’s sports headlines in a one-on-one discussion format. In the second hour, guest analysts, current and former athletes and occasionally celebrities will bring their sports opinions to the table.

How do Smith and Bayless relate to each other? What factors convinced Smith, who also co-hosts a radio show on the all new ESPN New York 98.7FM (1-3 p.m. ET weekdays with Ryan Ruocco), to join First Take full time? What three athletes would Smith love to welcome to the debate desk?

He talks about this and more in the Front & Center podcast (above).
