Last week, comedian and third-year Sunday NFL Countdown veteran Frank Caliendo visited ESPN’s Bristol, Conn., campus and appeared as a guest on a variety of TV and radio shows. He also previewed Frank Caliendo’s Best of the NFL, which debuted last Friday and re-airs tonight (ESPN2, 7 p.m. ET).
The 30-minute show is a mix of new material – including a panel with ESPN NFL analysts Mike Ditka, Jon Gruden and Mel Kiper – and old favorites, such as the 30 for 30 mockumentary on Richard Sherman.
While on campus and between guest appearances, Caliendo spoke with Front Row about the impersonation process, how he takes on the personalities of ESPN NFL analysts and what fans can look forward to on Sunday NFL Countdown this fall (video above).
ESPN2 will also re-air Frank Caliendo’s Best of the NFL on Sunday, August 3 (2:30 p.m.) and Tuesday, August 26 (7:30 p.m.).
