The 1988 SeaWorld Holiday Bowl saw Oklahoma State running back Barry Sanders rush for 222 yards and score five touchdowns in a 62-14 victory over Wyoming. The Holiday Bowl was one of the first major college bowl games on ESPN. In 1982, ESPN televised nine postseason games live – six of them as a simulcast with Mizlou Network including the Holiday, Bluebonnet, California, Hall of Fame, Independence and Tangerine Bowls.

The 2014 National University Holiday Bowl – pitting Nebraska against No. 24 (Saturday, Dec. 27, 8 p.m. ET, ESPN and ESPN Radio) will be one of 38 bowl games on the ESPN platforms this postseason, with the first of the bowls this Saturday.
