Cubs win sends ESPNers into social ecstasy – and some agony (sorry, Jay Crawford)
It was a game for the ages as the Chicago Cubs broke a 108-year-old World Series drought by downing the host Cleveland Indians in Game 7 Wednesday night.
ESPN commentators’ social reaction also has been epic. Here is a sampling to enjoy while keeping tuned to SportsCenter all day for continuing coverage of the Cubs’ historic title.
Never thought I would see the day…especially not after this drama…probably the only way a Game 7 btw these 2 franchises could go!

Fortunate to have witnessed 2 truly epic fan celebrations. Exactly 6 months after Leicester City won it all, the Cubs win it tonight.

Me. My father. My family. My fandom. The Chicago Cubs set all of those things free. On one warm night in Cleveland in 2016.

Laughing recalling the shotput-sized knot of dread in my stomach after Davis' 2run HR. The disappointment conditioning ends here! @Cubs
