How does ESPN The Magazine decide who makes The BODY Issue?

Two key people in the process explain the BODY concept, anticipate BODY10

Created to celebrate the wide diversity of the athletic form, ESPN The Magazine’s BODY Issue has featured some of the most recognizable athletes in all of sports.

However, when turning the pages, have you ever wondered what goes into creating The BODY issue? Front Row caught up with two key people in the process, ESPN senior deputy editor Neely Lohman and ESPN talent content producer Stacey Pressman, to discuss how the issue started, how the final roster is selected and more. Check out the video above.

This year, The BODY Issue – hitting newsstands Friday – marks its 10th edition. To commemorate this milestone, a digital photo archive gallery is available of all athletes over the past nine years. The iconic photos from this year’s BODY issue can be found at ESPN.com/bodyissue. Also, don’t miss BODY10: A Decade of ESPN The Magazine’s Body Issue premiering July 5, at 7 p.m. ET on ESPN and the ESPN App. For more information, check out ESPN MediaZone.
