State-of-the-art tech drives ESPN’s CFP National Championship Game Coverage

There’s no end to the innovative ways ESPN’s college football production crew is covering No. 1 Alabama versus No. 2 Clemson tonight in Santa Clara, Calif., in Levi’s Stadium. The production features 310 cameras and 40 miles of fiber and cable helping to deliver every possible angle.

In the video above, Ed Placey, senior coordinating producer, college football, and John LaChance, director remote production operations, discuss the technology used in presenting the College Football Playoff National Championship Game on Monday (8 p.m. ET, ESPN).

Shelby L. Lacy and Derek Volner produced the video.
