ESPN’s takeover in ATL: What fans should know about the Peach State visit
SportsCenter is traveling across the country this summer, but this week’s stop in Georgia will be the ultimate playground for ESPN, broadcasting four major events in Atlanta.
Here are the upcoming Atlanta-based shows premiering on ESPN platforms this week:
- T-Mobile Home Run Derby on ESPN July 14. This intense competition will pit the MLB’s best against one another as part of this year’s All-Star Week. The Pat McAfee Show will hit the road on Monday for a Derby-day show from the Braves’ Truist Park in Atlanta, while Karl Ravech, Eduardo Pérez, Todd Frazier and Alden González will call the action. Plus, Sunday night, we aired the MLB Draft from Coca-Cola Roxy, adjacent to Truist Park – home of the Atlanta Braves.
- SportsCenter’s “50 States in 50 Days” stops in Atlanta on ESPN July 14. Elle Duncan and Kevin Negandhi will travel to Georgia to cover the Home Run Derby for ESPN’s 50-state tour. Fans will get to see all the state has to offer – including the home of the oldest continuously operating professional sports franchise in America.
- New episode of Vibe Check on Disney+, also on July 14. On Monday’s episode of Vibe Check, fans can once again catch Elle bringing her a-game – but this time from home plate. Monica McNutt will join the show from the Sports Power Brunch event for women in sports media, also in the Peach State. Elle’s busy week started at the MLB All-Star Celebrity Softball Game Presented by GEICO this past Saturday. Vibe Check streams every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 5 p.m. ET on Disney+.
- SEC Now: Live from SEC Football Media Days Presented by Regions Bank on ESPN2 and SEC Network on July 15. SEC Network will host nearly 50 hours of live studio programming surrounding the 2025 SEC Kickoff Presented by Regions Bank, including Tuesday’s primetime media day special. Watch as ESPN previews the upcoming seasons for powerhouse programs like Georgia and reigning USA Today Network SEC All-Sports Title winner Texas from the College Football Hall of Fame and Omni Atlanta. Laura Rutledge hosts the one-hour special, joined by Jordan Rodgers, Greg McElroy, Paul Finebaum, Roman Harper and Benjamin Watson.
