ESPN Radio’s Picozzi shares his thoughts on Maggie Dixon Classic

This Sunday, Madison Square Garden is home to the sixth annual Maggie Dixon Classic.

The doubleheader is named in honor of the late Army women’s basketball coach, who died before her 29th birthday of an arrhythmic episode to her heart.

This year’s event pits No. 1 Baylor against hometown favorite St. John’s at 11 a.m., followed by No. 21 DePaul against No. 8 Tennessee at 1 p.m. Both games will air on ESPNU.

ESPN college football and basketball play-by-play announcer Bob Picozzi, who also is ESPN Radio’s morning news anchor, will be courtside with analyst Brooke Weisbrod.

Picozzi spends some time with Front Row to talk about the kind of coach and person Maggie was, and the crusade her brother, Pittsburgh men’s coach Jamie Dixon, has launched.

He also sheds some light on his early mornings on ESPN Radio.
