ESPN baseball analysts weigh in on Red Sox, Bobby Valentine situation; OTL will discuss at 3 p.m. ET

Editor’s note: This post has been updated since initial publication.

While there is euphoria in several Major League Baseball towns in the wake of successful playoff races, in Boston — and throughout the vast Red Sox Nation that crosses geographical boundaries — there was the “Bobby Valentine Watch.”

After leading the Red Sox to a rare last-place finish, Valentine was fired as Red Sox manager Thursday afternoon.

Outside the Lines, hosted by Bob Ley, will discuss the latest developments at 3 p.m. ET on ESPN. Scheduled guest as of this posting is Steve Buckley from the Boston Herald. @OTLonESPN will utilize the hashtag #BoSoxMeltdown in social media conversations about the topic.

Before the news of Valentine’s dismissal, several ESPN analysts have weighed in on Valentine’s tenure, including former Boston star hurler Curt Schilling, seen in the video above.
