ESPN And ABC’s NFL Draft Presentations Tonight: What Are The Differences?

Understand the approaches in these features starring Clemson prospect Christian Wilkins

The 2019 NFL Draft will be bigger than ever with ABC broadcasting all three rounds of the event for the first time in addition to the annual ESPN and NFL Network presentations.

Tonight for Round 1, fans will see every team’s pick live from Nashville on both ESPN and ABC (8 p.m. ET). What’s different will be the commentators on the networks and the content surrounding the picks. Below are great examples of what to expect.

When Clemson defensive tackle Christian Wilkins – a two-time National Champion and projected first-round pick – is selected, ESPN will go to an X’s and O’s breakdown of Wilkins, exploring what kind of player is he and how he will fit the scheme of his new NFL team.

On ABC, the presentation will give viewers a more personal look at Wilkins – how his late grandfather was the most influential person in his life.

No matter which telecast fans prefer, ESPN and ABC will have something for everyone – not to mention additional coverage on ESPN Radio and in Spanish on both ESPN Deportes TV and radio.
