You’ll Believe (Bull)dogs Can Fly: Saluting College Football 150 With ESPN Images’ Fabulous Photogs

Joe Faraoni's recollection of capturing a Georgia star's head-over-heels victory celebration continues ESPN Images' weekly photographic countdown to CFB150

November 6th marks the 150th anniversary of the first college football game.

In support of ESPN’s yearlong College Football 150 initiative, Front Row will feature, over the next few weeks, ESPN Images’ photographers favorite college football pictures and the stories behind them.

The series began with photgrapher Phil Ellsworth’s recollections of the classic 2013 Iron Bowl game that ended with the “Kick Six.”

It continued when photographer Scott Clarke recruited ESPN reporter Gene Wojciechowski to narrate Clarke’s tribute to his favorite college football assignment, covering the Rose Bowl Game every New Year’s Day in Pasadena, Calif.

In the latest installment, photographer Joe Faraoni recalls covering the 2018 Rose Bowl Game with Clarke. Faraoni captured one player’s head-over-heels celebration of Georgia’s overtime victory over Oklahoma and tells the story behind that iconic photo.

Shelby L. Lacy and Melissa Rawlins produced the video.
